You may think concrete is all about boring grayness. There are multiple ways to give it beautiful textures by imprinting the wood grain on the concrete’s surface, it visually softens and warms concrete’s “raw” appearance.. Regardless of the outside temperatures our Mile High Landscaping’s outdoor fire pits and fireplaces are a perfect solution for the continued use of the outdoor spaces and living areas. Situated into a new outdoor living space or added into an existing patio area, fire pits and fireplaces are a great way to bring family and friends together and or to create a warm and intimate space to relax. Our custom designed/fabricated fire pits and fireplaces can not only be used as roaring bonfires for much-needed heat and warmth but they can also be used at low burn to roast marshmallows for smores, add intimate lighting and or to create a unique and fun outdoor dining experience. 
No Matter if you have a much more traditional or more modern contemporary style home, Mile High Landscaping can create the perfect fire element that will be both functional and aesthetically matching to fit your project. Most of our fire elements are configured with home fed natural gas so there is never any worry of running out of wood or having an empty propane tank. This allows you, your family and guests to enjoy your new fire element with without the concern of stock wood, flying sparks, cleaning ashes or replacing the propane tank each and every time you want to use it.

Concrete is a unique material that is constantly evolving in its applications. It can become an intrinsic element in the landscape that is simple but elegant. We use concrete as a sculpture in the landscape that can be free standing or functional. The basic knee wall becomes a vertical element and backdrop to accent the color and texture of these grasses. The dark charcoal color is bold but not intrusive and as the eye draws closer the detail of a wood grain finish becomes apparent with added interest.

An outdoor dining room is a great way to relax outdoors and enjoy a morning coffee or a dinner with the family. This contemporary getaway is designed to be a functional but social space for all gatherings. The space is defined with a large cedar trellis that provides ample shade over a smooth concrete patio. The clean and smooth finish of the stainless steel bar provides a contemporary look with easy maintenance and clean up. The use of our custom metal trellis screens provides an anchor for plants to climb and add a soft colorful texture to the space.

It’s definitely nice to see that even a few years later this outdoor space looks amazing! We love the look of the modern fire feature that 
creates a dramatic focal point. The accent pillows perfectly add an extra burst of color for the patio and the pebble strips between concrete steppers create a slick but relaxed feel. Everything about this space whispers cozy, contemporary charm.
