Warm Up Your Evening in the Landscape with Accent Lighting

12Sept12 Smith Finished Peay Urns 135

This backyard has a naturalistic motif with a palette of earth tone colors and a lush, diverse plant selection. The one of a kind water feature adds visual character as well as an audible backdrop for the space. An evening in this landscape is enjoyable as users can cozy up to the large custom fire feature while feeling the warmth of the surrounding garden that is highlighted with our discrete lighting. The featured lighting of the gardens adds a unique color to the evening landscape and brightens the night. Aside from creating a unique visual effect in the landscape the lighting is simply creating a space that can be enjoyed comfortably late into the night.

Creating ‘Nature’ in the Residential Landscape

IMG_3038A dry Creek bed not only adds a unique character to the residential landscape but it can be a functional asset to your property. If designed correctly, a creek bed will promote positive drainage from your residence and can become a distinct feature. Our unique method of using a variety of river rock and boulder sizes mimics the natural formation of a riverbed while our blend of groundcovers grow into the space to soften the threshold into the surrounding landscape. Planting the riverbed with grasses creates a vertical element with diverse textures and the use of mixed shrubs along the bank defines the space while adding a color contrast against the stone bed.
